Become a member of EDGE

  • Are you a researcher working in the Environmental Health Sciences field looking to collaborate with a large network of investigators working in toxicology, molecular biology, genetics, and environmental epidemiology?
  • Are you looking for access to state-of-the-art genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and exposure assessment technologies?
  • Are you interested in learning about how community engagement and ethics can be part of your research?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you would benefit greatly from EDGE membership. Our membership is dynamic and we are always interested in considering new additions to our Center.

Only faculty members from the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s Hospital, or the Fred Hutch Cancer Center holding one of the following ranks are eligible to become EDGE members:

There are two categories of EDGE membership available to faculty:

  • Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) Core Center Investigators are principal investigators on a National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS)-funded grant and/or senior author on at least one EHS-focused original research article in a major journal.
  • Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) Investigators have research interests relevant to one or more CRTs, have active National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant support, a strong interest in participating in EDGE activities, and are working principally in an area of clinical or translational research.

All EDGE investigators are organized into teams around thematic, environmental-focused topics.

If you are interested in becoming an EDGE member, please send a current CV and a letter of interest that indicates which CRT you would be interested in joining to Nancy Judd (njudd@uw.edu).
